To cultivate a sense of inclusivity among new and established Beauty Advisors, Sephora launched the "We Belong to Something Beautiful" campaign. As part of the campaign, an artist was commissioned to create vector artwork, which I was responsible for animating for use on the company website, in corporate presentations, and learning modules. I hand-coded the animation using a combination of GreenSock JavaScript library, HTML, and CSS, and it was utilized both as an HTML object and video.

Sephora has an extensive collection of educational videos that are incorporated into various learning modules. However, there was evidence that learners were skipping over videos that contained crucial information. I proposed the idea of creating our own interactive video player, integrated into Storyline. The management team was enthusiastic about the prospect of developing the tool in-house, as it offered cost savings and the opportunity to brand the experience while ensuring a seamless integration into Storyline. This was created into a template and used many times.

For this important module, that was being deployed to all 430 domestic stores, we were asked to do something out of the box that was highly interactive within a short time frame. I essentially used Storyline as a base and coded this interactive module. The end result was showcased at a department town hall and was praised by store managers.

I collaborated with an instructional designer to create a template for our page type library, which addressed the challenge of initiating conversations between Beauty Advisors and customers. The interactive approach was well-received by Subject Matter Experts and has been widely used. Overcoming the technical hurdle of incorporating a custom voiced paragraph was achieved by working with the multimedia team to record the VO in a way that ensured any combination of sentences would sound complete.
